Launching a startup is difficult and your startup needs all the help it can get to have an edge on the competition. SeedPlus and AWS have teamed up to bring you Project Alpha.
Project Alpha aims to seek out and empower high-potential budding startups in Southeast Asia who have dreams of becoming the next breakout story.
Together with acclaimed entrepreneurs and local heroes, we host events in each of these countries to inspire and target the next generation of founders. Submit your application below and SeedPlus and AWS will pick two startups per city from the submissions to receive:

Seats at the event will be limited so be sure to register early. Don’t worry though – you can still submit your startup into Project Alpha even if you can’t make the event.

Kicking off the 2019 season of Project Alpha was a new destination: Manila, where Kickstart Ventures hosted the inaugural event.
Joining speakers from AWS and SeedPlus were luminaries Ron Hose, Founder and CEO of Coins.ph, and Valeri Inting, Lead of International Expansion at Neuron Mobility
Submission for Manila-based startups closed on 11 June 2019.
The second destination for Project Alpha was another new stop: Ho Chi Minh City. AWS and SeedPlus welcomed heroes of the local startup ecosystem: Thanh Dinh Khac, Chief Engineer and co-founder of Holistics, Cathy Tran, CEO and co-founder of Ohana and Tridiv Vasavada, SVP of Technology from Tiki at CirCO Coworking Space on Hoang Dieu!

Next up on the road show was Bangkok, where we were hosted by True Digital Park. Our special guests from Bangkok’s startup scene were Anawach Kimhasawad, founder and CEO of OneStockHome, Suradej Panich, Chief Data Scientist at Sunday and Geir Windsvoll, founder and CEO of Panya Studios.

Project Alpha is also coming back to Kuala Lumpur! AWS and SeedPlus welcomes home team favourites Yienyee Soh, CMO and co-founder of AVANA and Thinesh Kumar, CEO and co-founder of last year’s Project Alpha finalist Lapasar and Arzumy MD, CTO of Fave. The event starts at 6PM - don’t miss it!

Project Alpha is also coming back to Singapore! AWS and SeedPlus welcomes Tee-Ming Chew, co-founder of Seedly, Altaf Dhamani, CPO and co-founder of Travelstop and Dorothy Yiu, COO and co-founder of EngageRocket. The event starts at 6PM - don’t miss it!
Submissions for Singapore will close on 10 October 2019.
The final destination for Project Alpha will be in Jakarta at the new AWS Jakarta Pop-up loft. AWS and SeedPlus welcome: Sabrina Soewatdy, Co-founder of Rukita & Harshet Lunani, CEO and co-founder of Qoala & Christian Sutardi, COO and co-founder of Fabelio .
Submission for Jakarta-based startups will close on 24 October 2019.
At the close of each city event, two startups will be chosen as finalists and recognised as one of the best early stage start-ups in ASEAN. These start-ups will be assigned two primary mentors for three months – one each from AWS and SeedPlus – and be given access to business and technical experts from AWS and SeedPlus.
We'll inform you of new event announcements, deadlines approaching and when finalists are unveiled.
